This session is intended to be an overview of the federal and state requirements regarding transition. You will be given detailed instructions in what the requirements are, and how to document them in a student’s record.  

By participating in this session, you will learn the basics of transition planning for students with disabilities and how effective planning impacts college and career readiness of students.  

We anticipate it will take you approximately one hour to complete the entire session, although you may pause the presentation at any time to examine the content in detail.  

Upon completion of this session, a 25 question assessment will be made available that will enable you to earn a certificate of achievement for 1 contact hour of professional development.  Acceptance of this certificate or the administration of another assessment will depend upon your local district’s requirements.
